re: Cam Newton would not trade his MVP for a Super Bowl ring

Ask this question of someone who has both. I doubt Elway would trade one of his Super Bowls for another MVP. Peyton Manning may be willing to trade an MVP for another Super Bowls.
“Do you wish you played worse so your team could be better?”
That is inherently the question

Why?
Because LSUpride on tigerdroppings says so?
It’s a perfectly reasonable question for people who are discussing sports, it’s even more relevant when they’re asking a player who has an MVP award or a Super Bowl ring

It’s the same question as saying
“Would you rather be the best father ever or have your family love you more”
In order for you to say “I want my family to love me more”, you have to inherently say I want to be a worse father. It’s fricking dumb
The correct way to answer this stupid lazy question for low iq people is
“Look, I wanted more team success than anything. But the best way to help my team was to play at my highest level. So that’s what I worked to do. I’m not certain how lowering my level would have helped my team”

You always do this shite
And no, it’s not even remotely close to being the same thing
I don’t like Cam Newton, I think he’s a pompous jackass, but I can understand where he’s coming from here even if I don’t agree with him.
You just take the shite, twist it all around, and try to present an argument that wasn’t even made (then proceed to go hard about it for 5 pages relentlessly)

If he’s just saying he’s content with how his career played out i don’t have a problem.
Posted on 2/1/25 at 9:43 am to TheRouxGuru
It’s the exact same thing. You are absolutely putting the interviewee in the position where they have to say they want to be a worse player for team success. It’s an awful question for low iq people
Can just doesn’t have enough couth to answer it better
Cam played one season where people saying he was the most valuable football player on the league. It’s crazy to ask about taking that away for a team title , because in the real world nothing helps your team more than being the most valuable player

Not always. Along the same lines, Robert Horry said he would trade his career for Charles Barkley's.

With a SB win, he's in the HoF.

MVP is a subjective award. No one with a Super Bowl and no MVP is trading them.
Is Drew Brees’ career cheapened by not having an MVP?

Answer is yes only for people not able to use more than 10% of their brain

Not in the slightest in my opinion. Other people hold different opinions.
Marino would be just as highly thought of without his MVP, though.

Your biggest issue is that you always try to present your opinions as facts that everyone needs to agree with or ‘they only use 10% of their brains’
That’s a fricked up way to have a conversation. I have no clue why you’re wired that way

Because only a retard judges an individuals greatness on team performance. It’s that simple

Nick foles and cam played in the same era
In 25 yesss not a single person will give a shite about foles. Cam will absolutely be remembered

I can 100% guarantee MaHomeBaw would rather have Super Bowl hardware rather than MVPs.

Don't understand the time and attention given this selfish fool. Please stop watching this show and giving show ratings. I'll dance when SAS is fired

MVP is a mythical regular season award.
