Calls in Sports That Aren't Officiated According to the Rules

Basketball
Travelling: Everyone knows travelling is not called for three steps or excessive carrying in the NBA. Are the officials told to call it this way?
Lane Violations
Sometimes the players are in the lane a whole two seconds before the player releases the ball. Are the officials told to let them enter when the shooter starts to move?
Baseball
Bunting:If you square around to bunt and the pitcher throws a ball and you miss, just pull the bat back and the umpire will call it a ball. Do they really not see they are doing this?
Strikes:What is the strike zone supposed to be? Is it not below the knee and up to the numbers? Because it's not getting called unless it's at the thighs. Yet the umpire can call it a foot and a half off the corner. Is this the way the game was meant to be played? Why didn't they just make the rules that way?
Discuss amongst yourselves. Do these not bother anyone else? Also, what else is there?
eta: yes I'm bored. 40 min until the weekend.

Within 15 years, pitch f/x will rule the day.

Baseball has rules against blocking the bag without the ball. There is no catcher/home plate exemption.
Also, the way no one stands in the batter's box irritates the hell out of me.
The neutral zone trap in hockey depends on the refs not calling itnerference. They've gotten better at it, but it still grates on me.
There is not a lineman in football who doesn't hold. Not one.

As long as you stay inside the shoulder pads and don't obviously throw him to the ground, or hold on to him when he attempts to go down the line, you're good.

And it's also an automatic holding call if a lineman gets his hands on the defenders shoulders, even if they're not actually holding

When they run a qb sneak and the running back pushes the qb forward from behind

Yes I played in college. I was speedy and took full advantage of this loophole.

Yes. I have never seen an ump at the collegiate or pro level call the entire strike zone. If they are not going to do it, they may as well change the strike zone.

Football
Holding could be called every single snap.

Does that fact bother you?

So far as I know, there's nothing in the rule books about make-up calls.

Football- lining up on the line of scrimmage. It seems like no OT in the NFL lines up on the line anymore. They almost look like offset TE's.

The NFL put it in the rules to allow for that a few years ago in order to prevent the QB from getting killed.
