It was a loooooong delay. The FS1 studio said F*** it a couple of hours ago. They left and put on a replay of Colorado-Nebraska

It was a straight up wild thunder and lightning storm. We drank on the porch and watched it, we don't get many up here.

You don't get many storms...here in the Seattle area...seriously? This year has been an anomaly for how little it's rained.

So Cal beat Washington. Cal has managed to field a defense. They look to continue trending upward in Wilcox’s third season as HC.

But damn Washington...

1:24 am PDT. I know because that's when I sent a message to my brother who didn't watch the game.

I'm surprised by this result, didn't even realize the game had been played until I saw the score this morning. I don't know much about Cal, but I would have expected Wash to win this one by double digits going in, and I presume they were heavy betting favorites. Looks like it was a tough night for Eason, 18/30 for 162 and an INT; not a bad completion %, but not a lot of yards and no TDs. Maybe Cal can make some noise in the PAC.

Pac-12 is going to be a fight to the middle.

Seriously, any team can win this Conference right now. Except Oregon State, they stink. They're the Tennessee of the West.

I think Eason isn't quite as good as Udub fans were hoping after their first game, but I think their receivers had several drops as well. The big surprise of the game was that Cal's offense was able to mount several drives down the field in the second half.

I think Cal was helped by the lightning delay. A lot of people went home so the crowd was not a factor, although Cal did go to a silent count occasionally.

Isn’t lightning pretty rare there?
