Probably next week, since his house is here.

IF...and I mean IF this team makes a bowl game!! I think tOSU could actually tell Fickel he is done in November and Meyer could be the coach in waiting. That would be wise because tOSU needs to let recruits know that a reliable head coach is in charge. They dont want to take the chance of losing the top in state recruits!

Urban will never coach again. at least not at the D1 level. Too many health problems. If he could still go he would still be at UF.

Keep believing that. He's already saying how badly he misses coaching.

Best case scenario would be OSU making a shitty bowl game, and bring Urban in for bowl preparation. Sort of like a mini spring camp.

Urban Meyer couldn't hack it in the SEC w/o Tebow and Harvin. Hell, after Harvin left, you saw the offense go straight downhill in '09, but we won a lot of games because of Tebow and a stout defense. He saw that his offense couldn't be successful in the SEC w/o a once in a lifetime player at QB and felt the pressure. He bailed out and used health as an excuse. The truth is, he could no longer handle the "expectations" at UF without Tebow and Harvin, and had sunk himself with terrible assistant hires. Meyer may make it in the Big 10, but he wasn't going to make it in the SEC after Tebow left.

This is hilarious to me because it pretty much echoes what other SEC fans said prior to 2005. UF's offense wouldn't work, etc.

Buckeye fans...I've heard on the grapevine(actually a few topics down) that PSU wants him. Inquiring minds want to know...who will pay more for him?

OSU paid tressel like $4 million
PSU pays Joe Pa pennies every year, like $225,000

OSU Athletic Department brings in some of the most revenue in the country.

You tell me who can pay more.

Didn't he win a NC with Chris Leak?

So now Tebow gets all the credit - for all their titles?

Oh no, of course not. He couldn't handle the weekly beatings of the SEC - no, never make it; Big 10 high school football...sure.

Amazing, truly amazing; you even eat your own once they leave...soon we'll hear about his bad OOC games and how he never played a REAL SEC schedule.

Hats off to you sir.

I would actually give props to the defense for our NC's, but that's just me.

I'm not giving all the props to Tebow. Hell, Tim wouldn't have been Tim w/o Harvin, and he wasn't in '09. '09 was the demise of Urban. Expectations were too high for him in '09, and he couldn't handle it (remember, the "health" stuff). Then, look at how he handled the '10 season, he clocked out already after '10 because he knew he had sunk his own ship. He will probably be semi successful wherever he goes, but his offenses only work against stellar defenses if he has once in a lifetime type players at QB and another at RB/WR. Don't bring up Utah because they didn't play any stellar defenses.

He was the starter, but there was numerous HUGE plays made by Tebow that year. On key 3rd and downs, etc. Also, Harvin came in and added an extra element with jet sweeps, etc. Our defense was pretty good in '06 as well.
