Leads the league in passing through 5 games. Looks poised and comfortable in the Dave Canales system. Arm even looks stronger.
I was a huge critic of his and wanted the Panthers to give up on him in 2024, but he has turned me into a believer.

Passing yards are as much a function of bad football and playing from behind as it is effectiveness (e.g., the consensus MVP to-date is sitting at 13th). Probably not the stat you want to use to argue legitimacy if that’s the surrounding company

I get he was drafted into a dumpster fire organization with a head coach who didn't want him. But let us not forget he was a lazy bum who did himself no favors. BY didn't get up to 300 lbs and lie about watching film

Seriously i jokingly told some friends last week when Young was the guest picker on GameDay that the thing I don’t like about him is that he’s a Bama player I can’t dislike
He seems like a genuinely classy player and good guy. As a prospect I really thought if he was 4” taller and 20Lbs heavier he would have been looked at as a generational type prospect like Luck or Manning. So I’m not terribly surprised that once they put him in a better situation that he’s playing well. And of all the LSU players to bring up JaMarcus is one of the last I’d think of, besides being almost 20 years ago, I know a lot of LSU fans that didn’t like him even when he was at LSU. He did not have nearly as much support from LAU fans as Burrow, Daniels or even Fournette had.

Come on at some point there’s personal responsibility. Remember Saban’s last game at LSU, the bowl against Iowa? JaMarcus was benched for the first half. There were rumors that whole year he was lazy and pissing off Saban and Jimbo. They kept playing Marcus Randall ffs. The Raiders were a terrible organization and bad place for him, but he didn’t help himself at all.

Not ironic at all, his size is the only reason he was viewed as a generational prospect IMO.
