Sorry to burst your bubble, but if you're "holding" an amount of marijuana greater than that which is consistent with personal use - because you plan to share it with pals - then, you are possessing marijuana with the intent to distribute it. Distribution is broader than selling.

If he moved to Colorado, he wouldn't have $300k+ worth of weed to sell because his clients can just go to the local dispensary. He didn't have 150 pounds of weed to smoke himself.
