But they didn’t shift money. LeBron resigned for the max contract and basically pushed them into the 2nd apron, which severely limits what they can do to help the team get better via trade. The Lakers SHOULD have let LeBron leave, build around AD and the younger guys. Instead, similarly to what they did with Kobe, they keep a well past his prime player on their team and pay him like he is 32 and not 40.

Pretty sure When Bronny banks in his first three pointer, lebron will stop the game, make a speech, award the game ball to bronny, give bronny a kiss, then spread his arms wide and ask the crowd, “are you not entertained?”

Im sure many will say this is just complaining for somebody else’s success, but I agree completely with what you are saying.
In a lot of cases, there is just a fundamental shift in focus of what is important in sports. For as long as we could remember the athletes that were most respected were all about winning no matter what (Jordan for example).
For athletes today (and NBA is probably the prime example) “building their brand” is as important or more than winning championships. I cringe when I hear young athletes coming out of college talking about building their brand. Just fricking put all of your effort into winning, that is all the brand you need. But with social media and the way the youth consume entertainment, the brand building shite is important (annoying though it is).
Thus an athlete like Bronny James, who Im sure if he spent 3-4 years in college could build and become a legit NBA prospect, is able to get drafted and make millions long before he is ready, because he already has “a brand”.

Maybe LeBron needs to let Bronny go over to Paris to model some clothes with Deion's kids, so he can clear his head and be mentally prepared for his next summer league game. Maybe then, he will be take his game to the next level and score 5 points and hit one FT!

I really feel sorry for the kid. ESPN is and will do their utmost to protect him and rationalize this as anything but what it is. But social media which is what really drives chatter and opinion these days will not be nearly as kind. In fact it will be brutal.
And he's just a kid who has probably been coddled and told he's better than he is really is his whole life. When you are that age you don't know that you don't know.

It's because the NBA is a brand and when one team does something stupid, unfortunately, it reflects on all the teams. I guess it's guilty by association.

I'm pretty sure the World Champions had better ideas than to draft a guy that will never see the floor just to "troll". WTF.
You do know that some team take the draft serious and want to make their teams better?
