I'd like to think so but Mahomes or Goff will probably get it.

It feels like NFL wants so badly for it to work in LA that I can't see anyone other than Goff or Gurley getting it.

Not so sure. His passing #s will dip as they lean heavy on that run game. Also his punch and Judy nature doesn’t appeal to the voters as much as the more big play QBs. However. If the saints can get to 12-4, 13-3 he may get a career achievement kinda vote.

The NFL doesn’t pick the MVP.

I get that but thats just my crazy conspiracy lol. Still, outside of a crazy collapse I just see someone on LAR's running away with it.

This is a low key fan

Brees is the NFL leader in completions in passes that have traveled 20+ yards in the air since last year

1. Drew Brees: 40-73 (54.8%) 8 TD 3 INT
2. Russell Wilson: 38-101 (37.6%) 16 TD 6 INT
3. Alex Smith: 37-71 (52.1%) 13 TD 0 INT
4. Tom Brady: 36-95 (37.9%) 6 TD 5 INT
4. Matthew Stafford: 36-82 (43.9%) 12 TD 4 INT
6. Ben Roethlisberger: 31-105 (29.5%) 8 TD 5 INT
6. Philip Rivers: 31-88 (35.2%) 10 TD 5 INT
8. Matt Ryan: 29-84 (34.5%) 6 TD 3 INT
9. Kirk Cousins: 28-77 (36.4%) 11 TD 3
9. Case Keenum: 28-79 (35.4%) 3 TD 5 INT
9. Jared Goff: 28-67 (41.8%) 6 TD 3 INT
9. Deshaun Watson: 28-65 (43.1%) 8 TD 7 INT

He's 9-14 this year which is 4th most completions in the NFL. He has a passer rating of 147.3 on those passes this year

That is a small sample size. Brees consistently at the bottom of the league in air yards per attempt. Ie he is mostly dink and dunk.

Yea but the voters know he is usually Punch and Judy so that is always in the back of their mind and influences the vote.

Even though Brees had led them in completions over 20 yards since they have been in the league Bubba?
