I don't even like the Braves but I think it is brutal. Braves fans will loathe Gonzales by the end of this season.

Good for him. But he could .500 with 30 homeruns for the Blue Jays and it wouldn't mean it was a bad trade for the Braves. Because he wasn't doing shite in Atlanta. The Braves were not getting extra runs for what Yunel might do on another team. They got exactly what he gave them, which was dick.

yea so it's safe to assume he was probably dogging it in ATL. Thus proving the trade was a great thing. Would you want a guy on your team who didn't even try?

That is some skewed arse logic. He hit .289 with a .407 OBP in June. You really thinking he was purposefully trying to suck it up? If so he was even failing at sucking in June. There have been so many damn players that go through half season slumps that just don't make sense. Hell his wasn't even half a season. Unless he was going around the locker room trying to stick broom sticks up guys' asses while they put on their jockstraps, I don't see how he could have been as awful in the clubhouse as people claim.

Nope, they lose runs by trading away a superior player.

Well don't you think the Braves organization was in a much better position to make that call than glb and Ronnie Mex from fricking Tigerdroppings?

I hate this argument, people underestimate the retards in sports front offices. These are best and the brightest, with the exception of Daryl Morey.

I get that, and I understand that executives are certainly not infallable. But in this particular case, the people in the Braves organization who work with Yunel every day were the ONLY ones in a position to determine whether or not his attitude was detrimental. They decided it was.
