I hit sand wedge long there ... That played a lot shorter than the yardage for some reason

Shot a 78 with many bad breaks! Like a lost ball on 7 off the drive which led to bogey.

i wouldn't know. had to punch a lay up to 230 out. 3 iron right by cart path under tree. punch to fringe and 2 putt for 8. actually could have been a 10.

Nah .. It's my birthday that weekend ... Rather not ruin it with a bad round of golf.

Just kidding ... I just needed a weekend off .. I am going to play in the magnolia am the next week and then head up to chicago for an event and the us am qualifier. It seems that i have played in something pretty much every weekend since the first week of may. Just need a break (as my play indicates )

I approve of that message

ETA: for someone that grew up playing at a goat ranch with crappy greens - I sure have become a green snob in the last few years

Reading all of your scores makes me even more proud of my scores from last year. But it also confirms why I didn't care to play in it this year. I'm about a 6 or 7 handicap, so breaking 80 in a tournament would be a good round for me. Last year I grinder my butt off and shot an 80 on the first day. That put me in a flight that with players that are way better than me, and it meant that I had to shoot the round of my life to finish in the money. I played pretty fair and shot 81 on Sunday. The winner in my flight went 80-71. I'm not going to play in a tournament and waste the first day hoping to bogey holes just to get in a flight that I can compete in.

I'm not calling any of you guys sandbaggers, I'm just pointing out the frustration of a player that plays a good round (for their skill level) and kills any shot of finishing in the money for the tournament.

Playing 4 ball tournaments are better for me cause with a partner, I could have a chance to go low.
