Neither of these games is the result of the split
The fact that these four schools are playing two separate championship games instead of this being the semifinals is a result of the split.
All four are normal public schools that have no business being in separate brackets.

But Karr and Alexandria aren’t normal public schools, hence they’re in a different bracket

top publics
It isn’t about “top publics”. It is about the entire system. Equitable means Equitable for all.

Sounds like Central needs to play Karr.
Central beat the frick out of Airline too. Their lines are massive.

Edna Karr And ASH both have open enrollment, if they don't belong in select, neither do privates. Eithego back to the old system with no split at all or this is what you get.
The sad thing is that before the split, the private and public championships were pretty even except where two programs were concerned.

2 games and both are blow outs? Not 1 game, but 2 games with the big boys.

Ah shite that’s right.

Karr is a charter school, sure. But ASH is just a normal public school. Open enrollment for rapides parish is a joke and not anything like the two schools (Curtis and Evangel) that the split was designed to address.

Karr draws all over NOLA - open enrollment. ASH is the same way.

Apparently you missed 1983, 1985, 1989, 1990, 1993, 1995, 2001 in 4a
And 1995, 2000, 2002, 2009, 2013, 2015, 2016 in 5a
And 2016, 2018 and 2020 in d 1 select
Really and that’s not the smaller classes

It’s happened many times before
Posted on 12/14/24 at 6:28 pm to choupiquesushi
So 42-0 in one game and 56-8 in the other. 98-8 final tally. Show me the top 2 classifications in any year where scores were that bad. It ain’t several years I guarantee you. LOL

We blew up the system over them and now they’re not even that great

Go look back at the years I already replied to you
Posted on 12/14/24 at 6:41 pm to choupiquesushi
I have and they are nowhere near that except 1/2 years - take top two classifications and show me the arse whipping in the same year that come close to 98-8. 28-7 is no where close to 42-0 or 53-8.

My word - I get 1 game in big classification but not 2 complete blow outs between the big boys - but never mind, just carry on. The title said both big boy games………it was 32-8 and 35-0 at halftime. Geez.

Second Baptist? They making the trip over from Houston to play LHSAA??
And the split is dumb. Some of the teams playing this week were super weak.
