This is their second shooting around a sporting event in as many years. At this point can the LHSAA step in and ban them from having home games?

I know you know me IRL or at least who I am(even if you don't realize it's me ) If you move the games to neutral sites will the same crowd show up to pull the same crap at other locations?

If so how do you ensure outside of the venue is safe for egress for fans, players, officials and even law enforcement itsef.

And who eats that cost because it will be expensive.

This is troubling on so many levels.

It's gonna soon reach a point where teams will refuse playing at certain places and/or officials are going to start balking(many do block venues they deem unsafe - usually related to fans after game not shootings but...)

The LHSAA, Law Enforcement and the individual school systems have their hands full. but a note after last years heavy sanctions on brawling teams - brawls are down.

There was a possibility of them having to play my team in the football playoffs. Glad that didn't happen.

If I’m not mistaken, their mayor is actively trying to disband the police force. No clue what he’s thinking.

Time for something drastic to happen… this kind of stuff affects attendance at other schools if people are scared

If you know anyone who lives in or close to Bogalusa beg them to move immediately

That city with their horrible mayor is on the brink of anarchy and lawlessness

Landry will need to send in the National Guard

I don't know the figures, but sometimes it works out for small towns to just let the parish sheriffs office handle police duties. The city just pays them. He's not just trying to disband it and have no police presence.

They'd have to show the numbers, but it might make sense.

Fun fact,

Archbishop Hannan's JV team played Bogalusa's Varsity team over the Christmas break to fill in for a team that dropped out of Hannan's tournament and blew them out by 15-20 points. Towards the end of the 3rd quarter, their coach got into a heated argument with the refs over a call and got thrown out the gym. He should've been chewing out his team because getting slapped around by a JV team that consisted only of 8th and 9th graders was embarrassing as hell.

During the game I initially thought Hannan was also playing Bogalusa's JV team and was surprised to hear that was their Varsity squad.

I’m guessing their shooting wasn’t very accurate

It’s a sign of larger societal issues. Many Small town are becoming ghettos with nothing but welfare recipients Of course crime and general thuggishness soon follows.

I was there. My son plays at Hannan. The game didn't count towards their record.
