He’s a huge and beautiful animal, but he’s badly toed out on the front right (or is it left? I don’t remember). His size, the way Lukas trains, and justify not being known for being or throwing sound horses means I doubt his career is long. The way he was head bobbing yesterday on camera, I’m surprised the vets weren’t back at the barn jogging him. Again, he looked better today. And I want him in the race to go after Bull bc he’s inside the 4 so bob sacrificing Rodriguez to block and float out other pace won’t affect him.

I'm getting ready to see Baffert in his $5k custom silk suit walking around Churchill Downs meeting and greeting people. He is the event to me. It’s not a Derby without him.
It was the derby for over 100 years before him.
He’s a dirtbag to his core. And I’m hoping his horses are fading before the stretch

What are your qualifications, sir?

frick off with that. I’m the hater. You should post that to me.
Baffert better stay away from any log trucks or roller coasters.
Tick, tock

Not necessarily. There are guys who play by the rules. Just have to know who they are. BB is nowhere close to being a "horseman." He's more of a salesman, that has the backing of very rich owners. Definition of a good trainer is a guy/gal that puts hands on a horse every morning and wins at a solid percentage. See what Lonnie Briley has done with Coal Battle. That's the type of trainer I want.

Same thing that happened when Muhammad Ali retired from Boxing. Heavyweight Boxing went into a dark period for years. Nobody cared.
Baffert is THE attraction no matter how hard you try to say otherwise. I also like D Wayne Lucas. Two titans of the sports and it won't be the same when either is gone.
That's maybe the silliest apples and oranges comparison I've seen in awhile.
Asmussen is one of the winningest trainers in the sport himself. But predating Baffert is the Jones' (Ben and Horace), Sunny Jim Fitzsimmons, and as you mention D. Wayne.
This is like someone saying when Pat Day was at his peak as a jockey that jockeys and the sport would never be the same when he retired. It's obtuse at best.

Whether you guys like it or not come Saturday, Baffert will be the star of the show strolling along leisurely in his expensive suit basking in the sunlight with yet another Derby winner. The guy knows how to run horses. He's proven that.

I’m waiting for your qualifications…
Just a casual derby watcher. Am I right?

I'm a lifelong Louisvillian in my 40s. I've seen over 30 different trainers win the Kentucky Derby in lifetime.
Yes, Baffert is good. No, the sport isn't going to fall down without him.

My qualifications? How about Baffert's? His resume speaks for itself. He's got so many trophies I can't list them all here.
You might not want to watch on Saturday.

Baffert gets an A+ for running hurt horses. Does that count as good? He’s handed the best of the best every year and breaks most of his toys bc he doesn’t give a shite. SF racing doesn’t care how many die as long as they can launder money through the sport and get 1 or 2 stallion deals out of it.
Does the idiot know he’s backing soros funded horses? If he’s anything like most of the board seems to be I don’t think that falls in line with his politics
