You’re not. Not even close.

But he’s awesome.

Many would argue he doesn’t try at all.

That’s the beauty of Bill Walton.

Terrible. But spellbinding.
He's like Gwyneth Paltrow 10 years ago

That'd be the career of Dickie V.

Bill DGAF and ignores or shoots down set-ups by his play-by-play man.

Love this simple old quote:

Announcer: Here’s Luke Walton. Bill, you know a little something about him.

Walton: Yeah, he’s a 6’8? forward from the University of Arizona.

No. He needs to be put out to pasture. I'd rather drill holes in my eardrums than listen to that shitty hippie call another game.

I think he is drunk as well as stoned tonight.

Surprised he hasn't started chasing the Song Girls around.

His colleagues have to hate working with him. He literally cuts off the co-host every sentence.

Dave Pasch needs a raise for dealing with that stupid mother fricker.

Listening to Walton call a basketball game is probably equal to being in a Japanese POW camp during WW2.

I don't know how people like the guy. He makes a mockery of any cast he's on. I don't give a damn about his bike trail trips when there's a tie game with 3 minutes left.

That’s where we differ. Some of us do care.

Different strokes and such

It was mildly interesting the first time. By the 20th time it's annoying. A random fan out of the stands could call a better game and that's not an exaggeration.

He adds something to the game. We all know what we’re watching. We don’t need someone to tell us the score and who just passed the ball.

Bill brings something to broadcast. More than basketball. It’s very entertaining.

ETA: if it was radio, I’d understand the complaints. But you don’t need someone to explain the game on tv.

Those are his best quotes, when he compares a mediocre player having a great night and the hyperbole of his play-by-play man and Bill starts comparing the player to Ghandi...or having the most transcendent impact we've ever seen another human being have in one single night...except for the night he saw a Dead Show in 1973 and learned the bank shot from Jerry Garcia.
