There seems to be some movement, but the big commitment is still in question. Kaval seems interested in Vegas. I personally hope the A's stay in Oakland. I prefer LV to be an expansion franchise, own history, logo, ownership,etc...
They will get one, one way or another in under an decade..probably half that.

Why would the NBA expand? There are only a handful of teams that can win a championship and only a few more that are competitive. Do they plan to just fill the two new teams with Asian players to pander to the Chinese market or something?

Expansion fees and a bigger media contract tend to be a winner.
Baseball expanded by four teams in the 90s and nearly all of them were part of settling lawsuits brought on by the league (CBA violations by the owners in the mid-80s which resulted in one expensive lawsuit, illegally blocking a move by the Giants to Tampa in another move that resulted in the creation of the Rays as part of the settlement).
Them getting the Seattle monkey off their back is another benefit, as there are still a lot of hard feelings over the Thunder leaving for OKC.

Gail should sell the team. Pelicans will never win here

I get that it’s a money grab, but the product suffers greatly. There are probably four too many teams as there is currently. Who wants to watch Orlando or the Pacers or OKC?
The NFL is great because teams can turn it around and make a run. The Jaguars were in the AFC championship game a few years ago. The Bengals went to the Super Bowl this year. The Pistons and Pacers aren’t going anywhere anytime soon.

Move Nola & Memphis to Eastern Conference

This should kill any "X Team is moving" if they really think they can get $3 billion per team in expansion fees. That's $200 million in found money for each owner if they add 2 teams. I would also imagine this isn't considered "Basketball Related Income" so the players don't get a cut.

NOLA isn't moving anywhere. They aren't close to last in attendance or anything like that and do well revenue wise. They have an owner from New Orleans. Stop with this bullshite.
ANyway...
If Vegas and Seattle were added, only one team from the West would move East, either Memphis or NOLA.
I hope it would be NOLA but I could see it being either.

Problem solved
Only 1 would move East if you are adding two teams out West.
