doubt there's a single Millennial GM in all of the NFL. Seriously, what current NFL GM was born between the mid-80's to mid-90's? I mean, that would make the GM mid-30's if he was a MIllennial.

Polian didn't say millennials. thread title is misleading.

He just stated that in the past GMs have been much more risk averse. Current GMs are more willing to take chances. And honestly I always wondered why there wasn't much more wheeling and dealing. Pats have been doing it for years and other teams are finally starting to catch on.

I disagree with his overall point but in some aspects I agree.

Some GM’s now trade away players before giving them a chance to develop or before the team has a chance to grow.

Silent generation. My dad was born in 40, only reason I know this. Kinda like gen x between the greatest generation and the boomers

1. You're guaranteed picks every year, so the risk is literally just where it lands (I.e. What Pittsburgh did)

2. Polian is saying a lot considering maybe trading would have salvaged his shitty drafting.

Yeah but we make fun of stupid comments and dumb observations here all the time. And this is one of them.

Edit it’s not dumb in its observation I guess, but the thought process of staying bad just because you’re afraid of the unknown is hilarious to me.

Older people are basically frightened of doing things any different than the generation before them did.

I bet your dumbass isn't aware though that Polian also put together the Jim Kelly, Thurman Thomas, Bruce Smith & Andre Reed Buffalo Bills.

He also built an expansion team that went to the NFC Championship in their 2nd season.

Don't see the word millennial in Polian's quote.
