My take is this, and I don't watch NFL due to the obviously cheating and game altering due to sports betting, but I could say he's a big reason why. He benefited from the tuck rule, which is a blatently stolen championship. They did well, but shouldn't have been there. Then they went unpunished for Spygate and Inflatagate. You say 8x, I say five. And I also say zero. The NFL dismantled the Saints over not cheating, and let their head coach get illegally tampered with by the Dolphins, and then cheated them out of a Superbowl that Payton had mortgaged the Saints future for (justifiably so). So frick him. He should be stripped of all his titles, because he most likely cheated to get those too.

He got screwed because the media members who vote think he is a jerk (which he may be but that is beside the point). This is a bogus process. There is no justification for denying him first ballot entry. His credentials put him at the top.
