Hmmm? I smell shennanigans.

Methinks a lot of goodfellas pocketed some coin today.

Not sure. The biggest one I remember previously happening was when Stanford beat USC in 2007 as a 41 point underdog.

What was the point spread when USC lost to Stanford about 10 years ago, when Stanford was god awful?

ETA: I can't read posts above mine.

Nothing screams I'm a gambling degenerate more than betting on that game

you motherfrickers don't understand gambling

you gamble when ever you see an opprotunity,. gambling on gthis game doesn't make you a degenerate. if you saw an angle you make a wager.

if i'm not mistaken, isn't this UNLV's head coach first year there and isn't he from Bishop Gorman the high school in vegas. I could for sure seeing someone placing a frick it wager if that is the case.

Wasn't USC like -42 against Stanford a few years back and lost?

Yeah, his 3rd year. His only other college experience was one year as grad assistant. Rest is at the high school level.

And people around here want them to jump to Pac-12 when they start in new stadium. Haha

Do you know who Howard's QB is?

Cam Newton's brother, Caylin Newton

There's no angle.

It's just people taking a flyer...and you are a degenerate if you are...because you don't know shite about Howard...unless you have inside info from a few guys on the team - and they are going to profit too.

Frankly I thought Vegas stopped these crazy point-spreads to a degree because nobody was touching these games anymore despite Vegas attempt to balance out the betting with crazy spreads. Because it's not 90's anymore and teams aren't running up the score to impress the voters anymore.

Btw, biggest point-spreads since 1984 and some covered, some didn't. And the one's that covered BARELY covered.

67 - Savannah State 0, Florida State 55 (called after three quarters) – Sept. 8, 2012 (well that was a wash)

60 - Savannah State 7, Miami 77 - Sept. 21, 2013 (covered by 10 points)

59 – SMU 21, Houston 95 – Oct. 21, 1989 (covered by 15 points)

59 – Nicholls State 3, Oregon 66 – Aug. 31, 2012 (covered by 4 points)

57 – Oklahoma 59, Kansas State 10 – Oct. 17, 1987 (didn't cover)

56.5 – Missouri State 7, Oregon 56 – Sept. 17, 2011 (didn't cover)

55.5 - Charleston Southern 10, Florida State 62 – Sept. 10, 2011 (didn't cover)

55 – UL Monroe 6, Florida 55 – Sept. 8, 2001 (didn't cover)

55 – Florida A&M 13, Oklahoma 69 – Sept. 8, 2012 (covered by 1 point)

55 - Western Carolina 0, Alabama 49 – Nov. 17, 2012 (didn't cover)

So yeah...it's always been a flyer for a $100 but it's not gambling based on knowledge - that's why it's degenerate unless you are a wiseguy - it's throwing money at probabilities.

(btw, look at the history of teams thriving with point spreads...FSU and Nebraska were always the best bet for point spreads - Osborne and Bowden loved to run up the score 70-10 whatever scores...Paterno and Saban were the worst for betting, same with Lloyd Carr...they'd get up 15 and sit on the ball.)

Since when is a casual gambler gonna touch UNLV? Or Howard, where Ludacris went to homecoming?

who the frick says it has to be a casual gambler \

a degenrate is someone who has to have action. in other words, you can gamble on this game, and still not be a degenerate if you thought you saw an angle.
[

I'm not going to pull a vadar lol but i gamble..heavily.... on horse racing daily. i wager on races from saratoga and churchill downs. i wager on races from emerald downs and portland meadows. shite i wager on races from san isedro lol in south america i don't even know what the frick they're saying and i'm wagering on the races. ;i wager on races from tokyo racecourse. i have wagered on a 12 million dollar race. I have wagered on a race with a purse of 2,000 dollars before lol. shite i think i might have won more money on the race than the purse. I watch way too much horse racing

but i never make more than 15-20 wagers a week. i'm extremely selective in races that i actually have money on that's not just for shits and giggles like a big racing day that's on national TV. sometimes i see that angle in a 2YO madien race at lousiana downs sometimes i see it at Del Mar.

a denerate is someone who wagers for the sake of wagerin. but you can wager on howard and UNLV and not be a degenerate
