I know this has to do with soccer but who is Leicester City and what is the EPL? Honest question because I honestly don't have a clue.

EPL = English Premier League.
Leicester City = English soccer club
Massive, massive underdogs to win the league. Won the league with a few games to spare while playing against teams with budgets that dwarfed their own, including some of the biggest and richest clubs in the world.
Much tougher than just getting hot in the playoffs or in a tournament.

Manchester City winning the league in 2011/12.
One of the craziest things I've ever seen in sports.
This will go underappreciated on this board, but it really was.
There's a video on youtube that loops Aguero's winner with audio from every broadcast around the world. It's incredible how much excitement that moment elicited on a global level.

I’m 33, and the biggest overall sports moments I can remember in no particular order:
Phelps winning the golds in swimming
Tyson biting Holyfield’s ear
Jordan’s shot against the Jazz
American Pharaoh winning triple crown
Joe Carter home run in WS with Bluejays
Cal Ripken Iron man
Lennox Lewis being KO’d by Hassim Rahman (a lot of people forget about this and how big of a favorite Lewis was) - I watched this live
Montreal Screwjob with Bret Hart
Hogan joining the NWO
Nancy Kerrigan getting stabbed
Malice in the Palace
Dale Earnhardt winning the Daytona 500
Dale Earnhardt crashing and dying at Daytona - Earnhardt in 3rd place at the time, slowed the pace down to let Waltrip and Jr battle it out for the win. This ultimately ended in him wrecking and dying.
Saints win the Super Bowl
And finally I haven’t seen anyone mention this....
Lance Armstrong winning 7 Tour De Frances in a row and then admitting to doping (one of the biggest embarrassments in US sports history)

And they only got promoted to the EPL for the 2014/15 season. Between 2004-2014, They were in the 2nd division.
