Sources: Big 12 commissioner Bob Bowlsby is meeting with Pac-12 commissioner George Kliavkoff today to discuss the possibility of a scheduling alliance, merger or other options for their conferences to strategically work together.

I love how the Pac12 is dangling a "scheduling alliance" as an option b/c they don't really want most of the Big12 in their association.

Gotta assume that the powers that be at OSU are already looking for an exit

So we basically will end up like the NFL.

NFC = SEC

AFC = BIG10/PAC12

Edit: Nvm, I read that as Big 10 Pac 12 merger.

Sounds great.

Oregon State vs Kansas State sounds riveting.

I was going to say, it doesn't get any better than Texas Tech v Wazzu.

So we basically will end up like the NFL.

NFC = SEC+ Most of ACC+ Some of Big 12 left overs.

AFC = BIG10+PAC12+Some ACC teams+ ND.

Eventually we'll get there but going to take ~15 years.

I honestly would watch that. A couple of overtimes and a final score would be 87-84

A scheduling alliance would add some money from FOX (who you'd think they'd go all-in with) in their next broadcast rights deal, assuming the Big 12 actually survives. If they can do the same with the B1G (also FOX brokered, I'd assume), maybe they can just stay at 8 schools and load up on P4 OOC games to boost their income and stay relevant-ish.

Winner plays Mississippi state for the rights to Mike Leach’s pirate book collection.

Kliavkoff off to a good start as commissioner. The XII dregs are really going to pull that conference out of the gutter
