Thunder and Lightning win on name alone but Arky has a dog in this fight. Check out the 3 year numbers. Bush and White have the better supporting cast as well.

(USC)
2003
-Bush: (521 yards, 3 TDs, 314 receiving, 4 TDs, 1 KOR TD)
-White: (754 yards, 13 TDs, 15 receiving, 1 TD)

2004
-Bush: (908 rushing, 6 TDs, 509 receiving 7 TDs, 2 PR TD)
-White: (1103 rushing, 15 TDs, 97 receiving, 2 TDs)

2005
-Bush: (1740 rushing, 16 TDs, 478 receiving 2 TDs, 1 PR TD)
-White: 1302 rushing, 24 TDs, 219 receiving, 2 TDs

(ARKANSAS)
2005
-McFadden: (1113 rushing, 11 TDs, 52 receiving)
-Jones: (626, 3 TDs, 100 receiving, 1 KOR TD)

2006
-McFadden: (1647 rushing, 14 TDs, 3 passing TDs, 149 receiving, 1 TD 1 KOR TD)
-Jones: (1168 rushing, 6 TDs, 107 receiving, 3 TDs, 1 KOR TD)

2007
-McFadden: (1830 rushing, 21 TDs, 4 passing TDs, 164 receiving, 1 TD)
-Jones: (1162 rushing, 11 TDs, 176 receiving
2 KOR TDs)

-Bush & White Totals:
7,960 yards (rushing & receiving)
99 TDs

-McFadden & Jones Totals:
8,294 yards (rushing & receiving)
83 TDs

Bush and White are playing with another Heisman candidate in Matt Leinart and one of the top defense in CFB while McFadden and Jones have Casey Dick lol.

To answer the OP, I’ll take Darren McFadden and Felix Jones in this scenario.

Arkansas had worse coaching and played in the SEC. Arkansas also had a worse supporting cast, allowing opposing teams to key on said running backs.

Also had the Untouchables at Virginia Tech with Kevin Jones and Lee Suggs. Never put up the combined numbers like those others listed, but were fun to watch.

Pertaining to the question, McFadden and Jones for the other reasons you listed. You had Leinart, Dwayne Jarrett and the lesser Steve Smith on those USC offenses. You knew what was coming with Arkansas and they still ran all over

2007
We knew who was getting the ball.
And they still had 487 yards rushing
McFadden also had a TD pass

Arkansas threw 11 passes that game. That same year Tebow had 7 TD's against us. We were the Heisman highlight reel that year.

That 07 LSU-SC game was also the origination of the Mad Hatter if my mental timeline adds up with the over the shoulder fake field goal

They did the same thing against LSU.

McFadden went over 200 yards, had 3 TD runs, and was 3/6 passing with an added TD.

Jones and Hillis both averaged over 8 yards per carry, with Hillis adding 62 yards and 2 TDs receiving.

That backfield was absolutely incredible.

2007 Arkansas vs LSU highlights

Both teams end up scoring in the 50’s in this game

Holy shite, LSU’s 4th down call on their final drive in regulation is bonkers

I'd throw in the Minnesota duo Maroney and Barber but nobody can best a duo that has McFadden.

LenDale White was a criminally underrated college football player.

Bush/White because 99 TD in three years is NUTS.

The only thing close is trio of Montee Ball, James White and Melvin Gordon

USC cruises to a MNC(and probably a Heisman) if he stays for his Senior year

Well in that case..

Alabama had Ingram, Trent, Lacy, and Fowler all playing at the same time. But That isn’t the point of the thread.

Doc Blanchard and Glenn Davis, Army
Mr. Inside and Mr. Outside both won the Heisman, and led Army to three consecutive national titles
