If you want to say Eli was clutch and Brees was a choker, sure, but Brees was a much better quarterback.

My point exactly. “Almost” is the story of Brees’s career.

Almost is better than never was in consideration my man.

I respectfully disagree Big Ted; two rings and SBMVPs over the GOAT, one of those being against the greatest team in NFL history clears. Again, this is not a knock on Drew who is a unanimous first ballot hall of famer.

Nah

He didn’t deserve that 1st SB MVP. Should’ve gone to Justin Tuck

You need a better shtick. When the Yankees aren't winning pointless regular season games you got nothing

Aaron Rodgers is a better QB comparison for Brees than Eli. Rodgers had to watch Favre for three years so he lost some career stats to Brees, but 4 first team All Pros for Rodgers vs. one for Brees is huge.

Rodgers > Brees > Eli

Eli's comps are Russell Wilson and Big Ben.

Here's how you know:
When they are eligible for the Hall, how long will the discussion be when their names are brought up. Rodgers and Brees - 2 seconds. Eli? pack a lunch. It's gonna be a while.

Eli will be in the HOF, but I don't remember him having one season being a top 3-4 QB.

Peyton Manning stands alone in the pantheon of postseason chokers but let’s not pretend Brees isn’t on his tail

what

Not even talking about the Pierre Thomas fumble in that 49ers game.

2014 - game winning drive against the eagles
2018 - led massive comeback against the Vikings that defense blew
2019 - put team in position to win NFCCG, then no call. The pick in OT was clear roughing the passer
2020 - came back down 10 in the 4th against the vikings, defense blew it in OT
2021 - marching down the field to take a two score lead over SB champion bucs, Jared Cook fumble. Then dead armed Brees was trying to force stuff without the ability to throw a football.

He averaged 300 yards, 2 touchdowns, less than a pick, and 67% completion percentage in playoff games.

You see, Drew Brees, is what many of us refer to as a "system quarterback" basically it means the source of a team's success comes from the head coach having an offense that buys into his philosophy and a quarterback who can follow instructions.

Brees is an all-time top 10 QB. Eli is top 50
