Well the season is winding down, and we have seen these rookies in action. It was labeled as a horrible draft, and its lived up to it A lot of busts, and only a few guys that look like legit NBA players.

So who do you think is the best rookie in the NBA right now? And who do you think will be the best in 5 years??

Statistaclly, its MCW. Hes pretty much got the rookie of the year locked up. But his stats are inflated due to the team he is on. He pretty much became the guy from day 1.

But, i just think Oladipo is better than him. Hes more efficient and a very good defensive player. Hes a legit 2 way threat in the NBA. And can get to the rim with ease. Hes also got that 'it' factor going for him. Hard to explain, but just has something about him.

In 5 years, I think Giannis will be the best. His potential is as high as anyone can have in the NBA. I read something where it said in a perfect developmental arc, he lands ahead of Paul George and just behind Kevin Durant. Thats crazy. And hes just 19years old. I think, at worst, he becomes like Batum.

I also think Mason Plumlee has a lot of potential to become a good player in the league. Hes my darkhorse. Great size with elite athletic ability for a C.

And what does everyone think of the guys that have been "busts" so far from this draft? Bennett, Otto Porter, Len, McLemore, etc.

What about you?

In 5 years, the best player will be Oladipo.

It's a horrible draft with some unprecedented flops in high places.

I think MCW is the clear rookie of the year, but I think Oladipo will be the best player from the class. Burke will be solid as well, but there are lots of point guards who will be better.

I think Plumlee has a limited ceiling. He'll be a decent player but nothing more. He can't score more than 10 or 11 a game consistently, ever. You know it's an awful class though when Nate Wolters and Ryan Kelly are legit second teamers for All-Rookie though.

I think Oladipo will be the best player. But i believe MCW and Burke will also have solid NBA careers. Alot of people are very high on Giannis, I personally dont see it but who knows he may surpass all expectations for himself. Plumlee is also a good player.

Oh and dont count on Anthony Bennet just quite yet, i still think he can become a serviceable player and a solid pro. Obviously he was not deserving of a first round pick still

homer pick is obvious. don't get me wrong, he's good, but hasn't played enough games. MCW has it locked up.

I forgot about Dieng. Loaded with potential.

And I like McCollum a lot. But most of that is coming from what he did in college. I just havent seen enough from him in the NBA yet. Rarely gets over 10 minutes. But he def could be a player in the future.

And KeysOpenDoors.... you dont hate on Wolters! Loved him in college. Was a stud.

Yeah Im a big Cody Zeller fan. And hes improved this 2nd half of the season. When hes in the game, he contributes. Runs the floor very well and is a good passer for a big.

He might not be killing it right now, but I love his game and potential. When he finally gets there, he could def be 1 of the top players out of this draft.

Sort of the point MCW is such an obvious choice I wanted to be different

I've got nothing but love for Kelly and Wolters But those guys should not be in the top 10 of any draft ever

Calathes puts up a ton of assists in limited mins.. I'm glad he's no longer rocking the UF gelled/spiked hair look too

Well he can't, anymore, right?

Eta: He is the winner of the NBA's first annual Ben Folds look-a-like contest which is determined by a panel of one judge (me).

Bennett: clearly has to work on his conditioning and maturity. Improved a lot towards the end though. Won't live up to his draft position, but will contribute to someone.

Len: Kind of a project. He can rebound and block some shots, but his offensive game is a work in progress (to say the least). Remains to be seen if he comes along. I wouldn't write him off yet.

McLemore: don't think he'll ever be a particularly efficient offensive player.

Porter: Hate to say it, but he has all the makings of a complete bust.

Porter, Bennett, and Len for sure. McLemore not yet but he's had some struggles. Cody Zeller was terrible but showing some improvement, and Shabazz Muhammad has been completely useless.
