LeSean McCoy is so second best, he causes accidental second posts.

I'm gonna count tandem as the top two rushers on a team that have over 200 yards.

By the numbers:
Atlanta (Michael Turner and Jacquizz Rodgers) - 1545 yards, 12 TDs

Baltimore (Ray Rice and Ricky Williams) - 1808 yards, 14 TDs

Buffalo (Fred Jackson and CJ Spiller) - 1495 yards, 10 TDs

Carolina (DeAngelo Williams and Jonathan Stewart) - 1597 yards, 11 TDs

Chicago (Matt Forte and Marion Barber) - 1419 yards, 9 TDs

Cincinnati (Cedric Benson and Bernard Scott) - 1447 yards, 9 TDs

Cleveland (Peyton Hillis and Chris Ogbonnaya) - 921 yards, 4 TDs

Dallas (DeMarco Murray and Felix Jones) - 1472 yards, 3 TDs

Denver (Willis McGahee and Lance Ball) - 1601 yards, 5 TDs

Detroit (Javhid Best and Kevin Smith) - 746 yards, 6 TDs

Green Bay (Ryan Grant and James Starks) - 1137 yards, 3 TDs

Houston (Arian Foster and Ben Tate) - 2166 yards, 14 TDs

Indianapolis (Joseph Addai and Donald Brown) - 1078 yards, 6 TDs

Kansas City (Dexter McCluster and Jackie Battle) - 1113 yards, 3 TDs

Minnesota (Toby Gerhart and Adrian Peterson) - 1501 yards, 14 TDs

New England (BenJarvus Green-Ellis and Stevan Ridley) - 1108 yards, 12 TDs

New Orleans (Darren Sproles and Pierre Thomas) - 1165 yards, 7 TDs

New York Giants (Brandon Jacobs and Ahmad Bradshaw) - 1230 yards, 16 TDs

New York Jets (Shonn Greene and LaDanian Tomlinson) - 1334 yards, 7 TDs

Oakland (Michael Bush and Darren McFadden) - 1591 yards, 11 TDs

Pittsburgh (Rashard Mendenhall and Isaac Redman) - 1407 yards, 12 TDs

San Diego (Ryan Matthews and Mike Tolbert) 1581 yards, 14 TDs

San Francisco (Frank Gore and Kendall Hunter) - 1684 yards, 10 TDs

Seattle (Marshawn Lynch and Leon Washington) - 1452 yards, 13 TDs

St. Louis (Steven Jackson and Cadillac Williams) - 1506 yards, 6 TDs

Tampa Bay (LeGarrette Blount and Earnest Graham) - 987 yards, 5 TDs

Washington (Roy Helu and Evan Royster) - 968 yards, 2 TDs

Would be interesting what the total yards from scrimmage are.

Top 5 backs in the league are Peterson then Foster than MJD then Charles then LeSean for those that don't know.

Not in the top 5. He'd be in the 6-10 range with Ray Rice, Michael Turner, Deangelo Williams, and Steven Jackson.

I'm amazed at how far off Chris Johnson has fallen. After 2009, people thought he was neck and neck with Peterson as the top back in the NFL, and now he's hovering around the 10 mark.

If you're talking strictly duo, then I'd probably say Foster/Tate or Williams/Stewart. But if you're talking backfield in general, I don't know anyone with more talented depth than the Saints: Sproles, Thomas, Ingram with a year under his belt, and Ivory.

MJD is on the downside of his career. McCoy is entering his prime.

Drew had 300 more yards rushing on 70 more carries. McCoy had 20 total touchdowns to mjd's 11. Receiving stats are a wash with McCoy having 5 more catches and MJD having 20-30 more yards. MJD played 1 more game as well. Seems like a wash to me.

You are kidding with that, right?

Sproles is the only really scary one in that group, and is basically a receiver out of the backfield. Thomas is an good back, Ingram showed almost nothing last year, and Ivory is the definition of injury risk.

One good year and he's top 5? Hell Chris Johnson broke the NFL record for yards from scrimmage in a single season just a couple years ago...and even though he sucked last year at least he still played
