The Niners goal line stand against the Bengals is probably the most famous as it won the Super Bowl.

That's the one I was going to say. I remember that Alabama stand against Penn State.

Barry Krause is the one most remembered. Don McNeal's tackle on the flat route was a helluva solo tackle the play prior.

Any defense lined up against a Les Miles' offense from the five yard line.

Personal favorite: Mizzou vs LSU 2020

Most famous: Mizzou stopping Colorado on first, second, third, fourth, and fifth (yes fifth) down. They never reached the goal line.

I don't know if this is the best, but it's certainly one of the funniest.

In 1993, Kansas had 11 plays inside the FSU 10 yard line because FSU kept getting penalties. And they still didn't score. It's an interesting window into the stubborn playcalling of yesteryear:

IIRC, Oregon and Auburn each had a 4-down goal-line stand in their National Championship Game
