1991 UNLV. Fantastic team that fell short.
The team won the championship in 90 and it was all the same guys. Does that count?

Pretty sure durant on played the 06-07 seadon anyway.

i might not be getting the joke but this is the worst post ever possibly
People are listing teams with good Pro players - see also 2009 Kentucky post - as if that translated back to that year to being a great great college team.

Which is why it was such a fail the next year. UNLV lost to basically the same team they annihilated in the biggest blowout in a champ game - by 30 points the year before.

Phi Slamma Jamma & '91 UNLV are in a class by themselves

91 UNLV would have been another unbeaten champ as they entered the Final Four unbeaten.
They handily beat #2 Arkansas that year...
“I think UNLV is the best team I’ve ever seen. I’m not sure anyone else is even close.” - Arkansas’ coach Nolan Richardson
Oliver Miller said, “They’re a great team with great talent. They need to go to the NBA.”

2008 memphis. if only they could hit their free throws when it mattered.

everything about the post was wrong, which was funny. most people would call that '07 texas since it was '06-'07, which is a minor infraction but still annoying to me. then he butchered the hell out of spelling durant and augustin which was awesome. and then we get to the part where that team belongs no where in this thread and we have an all around horrible post

1983 Houston was BETTER. As was 1985 G-town............ Hell even 1983 Louisville was better........

Good point. That North Carolina state and that Villanova team would have beaten that young duke team.
