I hate it. Same reason my boy jack (whonyou all know I dislike) isn’t running

If he wins I will forever call him triple crown winner* justify

Pharoah was cool to see but I was so excited for I'll have another. Probably because of the way he won the first two but I was so upset when the news came out that he wasn't running the belmont.

Think I'll go with Hofburg. Which means Justify is going to win.

That one hurt. I loved him from the moment he won the San Vicente (I think). And he was bred to get the Belmont. Flower alley has thrown some great distance horses.

Justify will win because I don’t want him to. It will be all my fault.

I see a few of those participation trophy types don’t like us saying negative things about Jesus justify

Not anymore.

Justify looked to get over the track today as if he was walking in water. I guess his reputation is still safe.

I still think it’s shite he isn’t entered Kumin, who is one of his many owners, is also one of the many owners of Justify.

Payoff on triple crown >>>>> payoff on Belmont spoiler

The conflict of interest of owning multiple contenders is more of the issue, imo.
Hedging your bets is smart.
But it also cheapens the accomplishment.

However, there is no asterisk in the books. Omaha or Whirlaway may have had a shitty field.
If he wins, he wins. But it'll always feel wrong to me.

There will always be an * in my heart.

Bc he will win.

Though some idiot on racing twitter claimed he’ll break secretariat’s record

Margin of victory? No.
Sec made sham his bitch.
And I doubt his derby time will be touched.
No one will push their horse that hard bc winning is not time dependent. And it'll be rare to have two all time horses really going for the win like in that year.

That last furlong Bravazo and Ten-Fold were flying...right past him if the race was 20 yards longer.

I'm going with Bravazo if he is paying anything decent.

Already wasted money on Tenfold in the Arkansas race.

No, she meant time. And he will be left alone to plod on the front end so I predict a depressingly slow final time. If anyone was going to even pretend to press it would’ve been noble Indy. But... winstar so blinkers off

Can we just talk about the undercard races instead? All much more packed with talent.

Not fricking likely. He's not a 1-1/2 horse.

Exactly.
Probably still gets caught.

I wish there was a little more early speed in the race. Justify looks like the only horse that really wants the lead. Others like Bravazo, Tenfold, Noble Indy seem content to stalk the pace.

I feel like there will be one horse that does try to press the pace on Justify though. Whoever it is will likely finish last, but maybe it will tire him out enough to make it a good race.

Noble Indy at 30-1 is pretty juicy. If he stays there at post then I will drop a win bet on him and a Justify-Noble Indy straight exacta. Hoping for dry conditions!
