We all know that Barry Bonds had an asinine run in 2001-04. But with pitchers throwing harder than ever, and better than ever (lowest ERA in years in 2022), what would Barry's numbers look like if he had similar situation to Aaron Judge?

Right now Judge has had:

525 At-Bats
631 PA's
100+ BS strike calls
Other hitters do nothing
Gets a couple to a few pitches to hit
Bats .316190
OPS 1.120
OBP is .419
Played in 142 games
Yankee Stadium
Comparatively speaking, very few IBBs

Barry Bonds never had the triple crown, but guys were batting .350 and higher. Barry Bonds struggled with Elite pitching like every other hitter ever.

You could not pitch to Barry the same way twice in a row. But you cannot make a mistake against Judge; he hits almost .500 in the middle of the zone. Judge is likely one of the greatest FB hitters ever, and is possible GOAT against mistakes.

Probably better than Judge at everything but stolen bases and fielding, which is ridiculous considering Barry is 58 years old.

Barry saw less hittable balls in a week than Judge sees in 2 games. And he hit them. Far. You're comparing the greatest hitter of all time(arguably) to Aaron Judge who isn't top 10 of his generation. Judge is having a great year and deserves all the accolades he's receiving but let's calm down. Miggy won the triple crown a few years ago. Guys have special years but it doesn't mean we start comparing them to the best of all time. No one compares Maris to Ruth.

You are trying to compare Judge to a Roided Bonds?

Roid Bonds is the greatest hitter in MLB history.*

He broke the game

bro STFU!!!

Late Career big boy roided out Bonds is the greatest hitter to ever play and the only one close is Big Mac(before i get downvoted look at the number of HR per at bat).

From that era Pre-2000 Junior, Roided out A-Rod and Roided out Big mac were all better than Judge.

Judge is having an amazing year but dont be stupid. And yea training was decent back in the 80s and the 90s but nothing like today. SO at much of an advantage as the steroids gave....todays tech and training is almost equal to that.

and dont forget Bonds was facing pitchers who were roided out too. hell % wise pitchers were using more than hitters, especailly HGH.

Barry Bonds would get MAYBE 1 pitch an at bat worth even swinging at and he still hit 73 home runs. I think some people really believe it was all steroids. It wasn’t. Bonds is the one of the greatest hitters that ever lived.

I mean, the Reds are 30+ games below .500 (58-89), and Judge is doing something historic. I mean Barry Bonds was greatest to do it, so why not?
