Basically. A bunch of faux outrage by ppl who are far too emotionally invested in a game.

So Mayfield delivers an insincere apology for Heisman / marketing purposes

Disrespect is punching someone in the face or spitting on them ...not putting a flag on midfield. You'd have to a be child to get upset about that

The issue really is we don't go back to Oklahoma to get revenge. If this were a conference opponent, it'd be easier to take.

Maybe you should've won then.

That's not now things work. Being better at a sport doesn't give you an all access pass to do whatever you want.

Now i definitely agree that this isn't THAT big of a deal and he probably didn't need to apologize. Just chalk it up to a college kid doing immature college things. It happens every day.

But the "you should have won if you didn't want it to happen" is a terrible line of logic.

It's too late to apologize. Own this and expect a tough game with big hits in their playoff rematch.

Must be nice to root for a school that you know can lose important games and still be a shoe in for a "rematch".

Not really. The only reason they're upset is because they lost. It's a stupid thing to be upset about, but if they won, it wouldn't have happened.

In this thread or over the entire internet? Because most in this thread either don't care at all or are just mildy irritated by it.

Ya

Far easier to be a buckeye fan when you're 1000s of miles away and not surrounded by irrational children on a daily basis.

Reminds of SJWs being livid because trump said "grab her by the pussy". Just lol who cares

Not a big deal. Should not have apologized.

tOSU fan should be bracing for a 3-4 for more losses.
Meyer is going to stick with JTBarret at QB and the book is out on him.

He didn't even know what it was. He called it the fight song.

What he did was stupid. Reacting to it is stupid. There are much more important things to worry about that what Baker Mayfield says or does.

If he ever plays a down in the NFL he may get the chance to run into Ryan Shazier or Joey Bosa and he'll probably find out what they thought about it. If it bothered them I suspect that he'll know it.

I remember a time when I thought football was important enough to care about shite like this. I'm glad I don't overreact to this kind of stuff anymore.

This is dumb.

Like when Emmitt Smith and Cowboys got all upset about T.O. running to the star and spiking the ball after TDs.

You don't want him to do that - stop letting him score.

Oklahoma was king for a day in the Shoe, let them have their cake.
