What is the point the basket overhanging the outfield walls?

I've read that the baskets are actually in place to catch fans who might fall out of the bleachers onto the field otherwise.

So, Flowers did get involved with Willson’s conversation with the umpire. I thought something must have happened before the HR.

One win. Congrats. We have 3 over you.

It's a long series. A split is a win for the braves.

Do you have a link? Flowers interview after the game tells a different story. As well as maddon going directly to flowers after to see what happened.

Contreras whined after the game that flowers said something about a pitch Wilson complained about. Talk about a giant pussy overreaction if that's the case.

Stay classy, Chicago. Embarrassing to be so proud of his douche antics.

Since 2016, a lot of their fans here are trash.

So, what if Flowers had an issue with a pitch while Contreras was batting and Contreras jumped into his conversation with the umpire? Flowers would have been mad and he would be right.

There's a difference between being mad and acting like a jackass rounding the bases, screaming at first base coach/dugout.

If y'all can't see that, it's some severe homerism.

And I posted the link. Seems media in Chicago is jerking off to the douche antics.

Announcer and former Braves outfielder Jeff Francoeur said during Contreras’ home run trot that he was lucky to not get “decked” by Flowers and regretted not throwing “a haymaker” at Contreras during an incident at Wrigley three seasons ago.

I was watching the game with my Grandma who is a who Braves fan and she even said that Jeff was acting unprofessional and whiny

Obviously not our night since Jason heyward has 2 fricking hits and a HR.

J-Hey has 8 hits his last 3 games and has raised his average over .270. Still rolls over grounders to second too much but he's shown some flashes this year.

He was. Most braves fans think he's not very good.

That certainly invalidates what Wilson did.

I know it was re-iterated 100 times in this thread but there was a lot said between Flowers and Wilson before the HR

We've all seen him hit a ton of hommers. Yes he celebrates. Yes he's passionate. He never turns to the catcher to talk shite unprovoked

Not saying he was in the right (he wasn't) but don't act like Flowers was a saint trying to cure leprosy

I'm not. I'm saying Contreras greatly overreacted if that's all flowers did. Flowers isn't the one to talk too much. He's a vet. Maddon obviously respects him greatly because he and schwarb went directly to him to hear what happened.

This wasn't a Brian McCann policing the unwritten rules thing. Contreras probably didn't like flowers talking about a call and overreacted greatly when he hit a home run. Like you said, he's passionate. That can come out as douchey in moments like that.

There’s nothing to defend, you are the only one still crying about it. Everyone else has already forgotten about it
