lmao at this thread.

these incidents sure make the monotony of a 162 game season much more exciting eh?

the first turn around is ok "let the kids be kids" or whatever, talking shite again after rounding the bases isn't. But I feel like this is an argument with cubs fans since '16

As a Cubs fan, I agree. The first thing was fine. However, Flowers was the one who said something when Wilson got back to the plate. That is what escalated it to a clearing altercation.

I maintain that both were in the wrong to some extent. Not sure what prompted any of it, but if Wilson doesn't point to the dugout it is probably a non-issue. Probably not the last we will see of it this series though.

So, Flowers did get involved with Willson’s conversation with the umpire. I thought something must have happened before the HR.

Yes, CSN Chicago caught it, Bleacher Nation posted pictures on Twitter showing it, and Contreras spoke to it when he got interviewed on the field after the game.

But again, I don't have a problem with any of it. I don't have a problem with Flowers talking some shite, and I don't have a problem with Contreras throwing it back in his face after that bomb.

Cubs fans know that seeing a shitload of emotion out of Contreras (even when there is no instigation) is not a rare occurrence. It's just who he is. So be it.

Baseball players and apparently many fans are overly sensitive snowflakes. It's one of the worst things about MLB.

Looks that way. WC argued the pitch before the HR, and Flowers got in the middle. Really nothing more than a spat between catchers, one of which is a super-emotional guy in Contreras.

Bigger concern for the Braves is settling down the starting rotation. 3 of our vets are really having issues now in Gausman, Folty and now possibly Julio.

Couldn't agree more. The level of spats and shite talking in MLB is about 1/100 what it is in an NBA or NFL game. It's not a big deal.

I don’t know how you act when y’all play other teams, but dang you get so sensitive when it comes to the cubs.
