Fortunately for him, he's only 38, so Charlie still works .

Offense about to get their third look at Wheeler. This would be a great inning to add a few insurance runs.

Olson hitting below .250 this late in the season is not what we needed.

His K% is way up from last year, BB% down some. The K% is about in line for what hes been for his career though, so while I do think it gets better I don't know that its going to get much better.

He is a career .252 hitter. Came in today hitting .251.

Need to get the BB% rate back up but everything else has been as expected and the home run rate is climbing in the past month.

He's never been a high average guy. He's a power stick. Also, he's only 28 and should get better over the next few years.

Hell of an outing for Morton today. Maybe the best he's looked all season outside of the wind game in Wrigley.

I mean he hit .270 last year. I think a lot of people were expecting him to just be 2021 Matt Olson from now on, and thats just not how things usually work. He will probably have years better than he was in 2021, and years worse than he is now. Its just baseball.

Chip and BJ are extra-homerish today.

I watched a game the other day with the TB crew. It was a breath of fresh air. They covered the game without a blatant ball gobbling homer perspective. They respectfully called out issues with their team while maintaining a professional perspective. Chip and BJ are just terrible to listen to. I am thankful I have SirusXM to swap to while at my desk.

I'm with you...for some reason I had this memory that Morton was already 37-38 yrs old when he was pitching for Houston in the World Series. Very recently I definitely thought he was over 40 until I happened to see his age in BREF

Ugh. McHugh picked a bad time to have his first meltdown in awhile. He's been really good for most of the season.

I wouldn’t miss it one bit if he didn’t pitch again

Ok. Overreaction a bit
