One thing to keep an eye on is that the NL MVP race is no longer assumed for Ronnie.

Freddie has passed him in Avg. and OPS.

Ronnie still (obviously) leads in SB, as well as K/BB

If Olson gets to 60, he's going to get some first place votes.

Yeah, but I think it's realistically down to Ronnie and Freddie

True, but as long as Ronnie doesn't fall into a prolonged slump I would think he'll still win it. But you know some in the national media are getting hard at the thought of a Dodgers player winning the MVP over someone from "little" Atlanta.

Also, good to see the bench getting some play late.

If Freddie wins it, that won't be why.

You can make a case right now that he has had a better season and that's what the award should be. Same goes for Ronnie.

What we’re seeing here in the 9th is why MLB needs to institute a run rule. This is ridiculous.

Probably should get another position player on the mound.

yep - and I kinda hate our bats having to swing at garbage to throw off timing -

I wouldn't be against it in the least.

Both NFHS(High School) and the NCAA institute one, MLB can also. Especially in situations like this where a position player is throwing a 38 MPH ephus pitch and where your starters can get hurt.

And Riley just went deep for #28 and Matt just missed his 3rd homer of the game.

I know, but there are some in the national media who have a bias for anything LA/NY.

I still think it's Ronnie's to lose. If he steals 60-65 and hits 35-40 homers O don't think that you can justify him not winning it.

Snitker should just tell them to go up there and not swing at all. Let’s get to the clubhouse and rest

If Olson gets anywhere near 60, I’d imagine he and Ronald will split votes. I think Freddie wins somewhat by that. Freddie is for sure having an elite mvp season and would be an extremely deserving winner. I just think this comes down to who votes for who, not the best season. All three would have great arguments.
