Runs were going to be at a premium today for both teams.
Runs are at a premium damn near every day with the Braves. That's the issue. Today had absolutely zero to do with Skenes and everything to do with an offense who couldn't score against Matthew Liberatore or the White Sox bullpen.

ROKU baseball about to start. Let’s get a sweep

Schwellenbach's stuff looks really, really sharp today

Sean Murphy sucks so, so much. He is a $20M version of Chadwick Tromp.

Ump calling a good game for Schwelly.

Our offense is just utter dogshit and there is no end in sight.

Need a trade for an outfielder soon.

One of Braves starting pitcher for an outfielder. Cardinals would do that in a heartbeat.

Hopefully it's not Schwelenbach.

They're gonna stick w/Orlando. Yes his bat is bad right now but he's a vacuum at short and you have to have strong defense up the middle.

I would think Orlando Bloom would be not a good idea.

A vaccine huh?
Also, you may want to check Arcia’s defense metrics lately. He has not been a vaccine over there.

Autocorrect is a bitch.
Just make the routine plays. That's all I care about.

There comes a point where good defense no longer covers for dogshit offense. We are at that point with Arcia (and Murphy, but that's a tougher conversation for some people).

You have to be strong defensively up the middle or you can forget about winning anything in the postseason.
How quickly we forget the butcher that was Grissom.

I’d rather have Grissom than Arcia.

How bout neither.
Give me the defense first guy at short. You have to be strong there.
Grissom was an absolute butcher.

I wonder what that Dansby discount we supposedly could have gotten looked like? It was apparently substantial IIRC.
IMO most fans thought when we locked all these young guys up long term on cheap deals that the Braves would use the "savings" to supplement the team with some larger FA swings, or at the very least keep some of the older vets who were still performing. So far it looks like it was either lock these guys up long term now or ride out their rookie deals and then hold a press conference with the typical "the money wasn't where we wanted it" "financial flexibility" lines when they sign somewhere else in FA.
