Correction. It was “We suck arse, we have no farm system or anything for trades. We won’t make the playoffs and who knows when we make the post season again.”
Then they barely manage to scrape out a split series with the Mets and they’re gonna win the Series and the Olympics.

I don't really think it was this for most people.
We don't really have a farm system though (but it is improving somewhat from being last in the league).
Personally, I do see some trends with players we are tied to for a long time that are extremely troubling. Doesn't mean we can't win the WS going forward, but I'm of the opinion that its more likely that we wont than I was going into the season.

They do suck arse right now, especially hitting outside of Ozuna.
The farm system is shite, and there isn't much to use for a bigger trade.
I don't know if they will make the playoffs this season. If I had to guess, possibly will get a WC spot, I wouldn't be surprised either way at this point.
I don't see them winning a World Series for a while at this point, but I certainly could be wrong. Losing Fried next season will hurt. They have limped along for the past two seasons with pitching injuries, using kids who are not ready, hoping someone will blow up like Strider did.
In no shape, form or fashion should a Mets fan be lecturing us on the ups/downs of being a fan. Y'all have some outright comical folk on your crew when it comes to highs and lows.

I don't think the farm system is bad as yall are portraying it. It's an average system. Really like our draft this year. And we are rumored to sign one of the best bats in next year's ifa class.
Baldwin, ajss, nacho, and waldrep are all top 100 prospects. Depth is short on hitting in the upper half. But we have a ton of intriguing bats in the lower levels.

Its just that we don't have the ammo to go really make a splash at the deadline, and aren't pumping guys out that can contribute like some other teams do every year. Our awesome crop of guys made it to the majors and then we just fell off. No one should reasonably expect to put a Strider, Riley, Acuna level player in the majors every year from the system, but teams like the Rays and Dodgers seem to get at least something meaningful out of 2 or 3 minor leaguers every single year.

Our last two drafts have set us up for some moves in the next 2-3 years, but in terms of deadline ammo this year and last, we had nothing to work with.
