Wonder how much that last outing may have affected him. He didn’t throw that many pitches, but taking a perfect game, then no-hitter that deep, you know he had to have a ton of adrenaline and maybe pushed a little harder than normal. Especially with 2 strikes.

May not have affected him at all, and this is an aberration. I doubt we’ll ever know.

That’s just this year, right? It’s May 1st. Too small of a sample size. I’m
wondering about his career line.

And he faces a lot more righties, so that sample size right-handed is a little skewed too.

Yeah, his command is off. I think it’s the lingering effect of all the high leverage pitches from last start. Not high-leverage as far as winning the game, but keeping the PG/NH in tact.
