Nice to play uncommon teams at their parks. Will be catching a game in Seattle in June.

I hate west coast swings. I'm going to need Fried to throw another Maddux tonight so this is over before midnight

Guardians series started 3 series in a row against division leaders. Won the first won, let’s win the next two as well. Dodgers series is going to be fun. Definitely going to a game when LA comes to Atlanta later.

At least we can get scores now. I remember the Braves playing out West when I was a kid and the newspaper printing before the game was finished. It took forever to find out if they won.

Also, there’s this

quote:

Per Statcast, Smith-Shawver has already thrown 15 pitches that have registered at 98 mph or higher this year with Triple-A Gwinnett. His three highest-recorded velocities of the year -- 99.8 mph, 99.7, 99.2 -- were all produced on Wednesday in Norfolk, when he allowed three runs and got seven strikeouts over five innings.

Smith-Shawver threw 507 fastballs over the seven appearances (28 innings) he combined to make between the regular season and playoffs for Atlanta last year. Just seven of those pitches registered 98 mph or more. Four of those seven pitches were thrown during his last regular-season start against the Cubs on Sept. 28. The other was thrown during Game 3 of the National League Division Series against the Phillies.

Is it sad that my first thought when I read this was to go ahead and get his future Tommy John scheduled?

Ben Ingram: "So, France surrenders on the curveball and that'll be out number two"

Ben is awesome.

I can imagine he’s looking up and down the roster days ahead so he can line up a few good puns.

That was the most anemic we’ve looked first time through the order in quite some time

Acuna can’t hit a fastball. That’s worrisome.
And if someone mentions back of the damn baseball card I’m reaching through the internet to strangle him.

He's parroting a Chris Dimino line. He thinks Dimino is a sports radio deity for some reason.

I don’t understand how the Mariners rotation is so fricking good from top to bottom

Surely they need to deal 1 or 2 of these guys and add some offense. They’d be so good if they could score

I realllllly wanted AA to try and get George Kirby from them a few years ago. Safe to say that ship has sailed now.
