It really feels like we walked into this series without a plan and just figured our hitting talent would take over, which is weird because the Phillies played us close all season long.

I love how people (Smoltz) act like the Phillies are somehow earning those cheap hits because they put it in play. It's just like Mets fans. Are we striking out every at bat? No. We swing at balls in the dirt like Realmuto did, and we get what we deserve... Outs. There is nothing to say about lucky hits other than that they are lucky.
But at least the Phillies hit a mistake once in a while in this series. Not us.

I didn't say any of that. We had an unlucky last inning. But they've played like crap this entire series, and it has nothing to do with being tired.
The Mets? Don't care why they lost. They lost.
Silly Mets fans downvoting an accurate post, because it doesn't fit the narrative they want to paint. I guess that's all you have time to do when your team is already out.
