Maybe an early exit two years in a row puts some pressure on him to change

Phillies players just look and play like they know they’re better than the Braves. I don’t know if that’s on management or a lack of clubhouse leadership or what, but it’s easy to see.

Fried, Strider, Morton and two of Elder

AJSS, shuster, dodd, + some older veteran on a cheap contract

Unlikely soroka or Anderson contribute next year

If you think this year’s version of Arcia is what you’re getting going forward, you can live with that as your 8 or 9. Bullpen and starters are what you need. But spending big on bullpen rarely works.

No you can’t.

Good arm, but limited range with a below average bat. Good UI, but not a starter on a championship team.

Arcia’s bat is fine at the bottom of the order. The defense did not impress me eye test wise outside of the arm.

Arcia is batting better than Ozuna, Rosario, and Harris. Not all on him.

Complacency is the one potential downside to signing all of these guys long term. I think complacency has set in. They look like they're ready to go play golf.

I think AJSS is going to be a total stud. Only 20. Has only pitched a couple of years. Has a huge upside

Also, not to bring up any bad arguments but….. it would probably be nice to have freddie and dansby right about now. This is when they made up their worth. Freddie by being consistent. Olson is not. And dansby bringing his fiery arse to the park and providing that spark. Clutch guy too. They’re both sorely missed

Why would their contract situation impact their playoff performance? They worked hard enough in the offseason to produce the best offense in the modern history of the game but in the playoffs they have somehow decided that because they got paid winning this series doesn’t matter?

Braves players have small dick energy in the postseason for sure. Phillies are the definition of big dick energy.

Dansby was probably the only longtime Braves player with big dick energy in the postseason . The only reason we won a WS is because we traded for some of the biggest dicks around.

I’ve talked enough dicks for a while, so I’ll move on

AA is just never going to fully sell out. We knew that already, but that much was confirmed at the deadline when we didn’t give up any top 30 prospect for a season that should be World Series or bust.

Because of AA’s foresight to lock up young guys early, we are going to be in the playoffs for a long time, but because of his hesitancy to give up prospects, re-sign players or go after big players in FA, it could hamper seasons like this one where we were clearly the best team in the league, but didn’t sell out to get some win now help.
