2 homers in however many ABs we’ve had this series is so fricking annoying, especially when one of them was from TDA.
Three guys with 40+ homers this season and nothing from them.

Lineup not showing much patience

Is this your first postseason following this team?
This has been standard since 1991

where do braves go for starting pitcher besides strider?

Realistically the pitching hasn’t been horrible outside of the 3rd. What a complet managerial meltdown.

I’m probably wrong about this, but this is just how it feels to me so don’t flame me too hard for this take
Obviously following/watching 2 teams for a full 162 is crazy if not impossible so it’s not like I have a legit comparison other than just looking at pitching matchups around the league, but it kind of feels like we missed other teams best pitchers more often than other teams in the regular season. And it felt that way last year too. So we were launching nukes off number 4 and 5 starters and getting all of this confidence, then get hit in the mouth in the postseason because you’re facing 1’s and 2’s.
And bottom line is this team had some flaws that many of us pointed out before the trade deadline that just weren’t addressed.

No question the Phillies look like a much better team
Because they are. Just like they were last year. Just like they’ll probably be next year.
They play with a swagger and a looseness that ATL just can’t match in October. The Braves are disappearing up their own assholes, and you’ve been lying to yourself if you're surprised.
All of that being said, it’s baseball, so wtf knows how this series ends.

If Morton picks up his option, I doubt we go and spend on another.
It’ll be Fried, Strider, Morton and two of Elder, Soroka, Anderson, AJSS, Shuster, Dodd, Ynoa
So basically hoping someone young takes a giant step forward or someone who was injured returns to their pre injury form. Not ideal.

Soroka is done in my opinion. Will never be what he could have been. They absolutely must go get something in terms of a starter

My take is ATL is too good in the regular season
Need to quit trying to win the division. Just make it as a wild card
Find some relievers that throw 100. They seem to grow on trees these days. Get a real SS. Get some glue guys that can provide some leadership and not a pussy attitude. Problem solved

Turner and Harper are superstars who play like it in the postseason and Ronnie might not. Or at least he might not be able to do it himself. Riley, Ozzie, and Olson are great players, but I think we all can obviously see they are at least a tier below the former 3 names i mentioned. And the Phillies have some of those guys to match in Castellanos and Realmuto.

Yep. You’ve got to move on.

If Morton is on the books for $20m, they aren’t going to spend big money on another. It’s just not AA’s way.

You mean for next year right. It will be Strider Fried and unfortunately I bet AA rolls with Morton on another year deal if he can, Elder (he was an All-Star!) and AJSS. Hope I’m wrong. Elder just doesnt have the stuff to be anything more than a 5 that should never make a post season roster.

I don’t think they will spend on a starter. I think SS is the most obvious spot for improvement outside of bullpen, which is the biggest need by far imo.
Need Murphy to return to 1st half form. Interested to hear what the Braves think happened with Murphy in second half. Injury/mechanics/etc
