So so embarrassingly bad not to have Hand face Harper. The one game you don’t have Fried/Strider and you can’t figure out how to manage matchups in high leverage spots. This is just so unbelievable to me.

Right… but it isn’t over and the season isn’t over and we are complaining about fictional things. Just relax

The only singular decision I can think of that’s close to this bad was Soroka only pitching one game in the 2019 DS.

I think that is still way worse. We had a guy put together a Cy Young type season and instead we made sure that Mike fricking Foltynewicz, who was in AAA 2 months prior because he was so shitty, got a second start and in game 5 no less

I’ve read a lot of delusional shite on these boards but this is up in the top 5 all time. Wow.
The Phillies are a better team as a whole on both sides of the ball and managed better at this point. They were NEVER going to lose this series.

This will be demoralizing and will carry over next year imo. We straight up got our asses beat this series.
Same as last year, almost identical… yet somehow worse.
See y’all next season

Suddenly there are gaping holes in the lineup, unfortunately

Pulling Tomlin in the bottom of the 8th inning of Game 4 in that series was the worst move he has made. Tomlin was absolutely cruising and Shane Greene came in and immediately gave it up.

Maybe they trade for a starter, or sign a back end of rotation type guy.. They aren't signing any meaningful free agent starter. That's a fact

The bottom third of the order had quietly been a black hole since mid August, but it was just overshadowed by how well our first 5 were hitting.

But now that Ozuna suddenly reverted back to his April ways, our lineup looks pretty toothless once you get past Olson.

Yep, it was pure idiocy. But then, being terrible with pitching changes is pretty much a Snitker trademark.

But Hand should have started the game as an opener to begin with, then have Elder only face the top of the order once max. That's on AA, as is not making any starting pitching moves at the deadline.
