Hart did Braves play by play during that weird early post-TBS era when the games were on Peachtree TV.

He's a very good baseball commentator. Been partnered with Ben McDonald on SEC Network during college baseball season for the last few years.

Tom does good work across the board. He's really good during football season on SECN.

Sounds like it was Ben's choice to remain in the radio booth. Can't blame him. He's an elite radio PBP man.

Would love Hart. He has great sense of humor and has always called the big plays well.

Snit did a little interview. He was asked about how long he'll continue with his new contract taking him to 70.

“Right now I just want to survive today, let alone this year,” he said. “I’m going to take every day separate and enjoy it and go to spring training. It’s going to be fun to get back with the guys and get in your routine again.”

He said he was with Bobby Cox visiting him at the time AA called to talk about extending his deal. Snit said Cox is doing fine but has good and bad days. He's alert but struggles to talk since the stroke. Snitker said Cox can communicate with smile, nods and occasionally a word.

Pitcher Max Fried lost to the Atlanta Braves in salary arbitration on Saturday, and will make $13.5 million in the upcoming season instead of his $15 million request.

I’ll never understand fostering that animosity for such a small amount of money.

His 2024 salary is impacted heavily by his 2023 salary. So could be a $3-5M impact on the 2024 payroll.

$15M would have been an all time record for an Arb3 SP.

Also, we're clearly trying to minimize out lux tax hit as much as possible, which is dumb, but whatever.

Eh.

Players understand it's a business and that this is a part of it.

How do yall think Ozzie Albies will do this season. Do we expect him to return to 2021 form?

He didn't play particularly well while he was healthy last season. I think he'll be around his 2021 self for a lot of his career if he stays healthy, but damn I wish he'd give up the switch hitting experiment.

People want him to hit right handed only, what exactly is your point? Not that HRs mean jack crap when he has a career OPS 150 points higher hitting RH versus LH.

Yeah, he is the best hitting second baseman in the league right handed and barely league average lefty.

I just think it's a silly argument from people just looking for something to complain about.

Can he hit better LH? Yes. But I'm not calling for him to completely give up switch hitting, either.
