Andruw misses out on the Hall, but somehow Scott Rolen makes it in.

Makes no sense.

He's gonna have to get in the same way Crime Dog did b/c baseball writers are fricking morons.

Druw should of been in years ago.

Absolute joke that Scott Rolen is in before about 15-20 players out there. He is a top 10 worst player in the hall of fame without a doubt.

of the ballots made public, 64 didn’t vote for Andruw. Of those, 36 voted for rolen. 56% of the writers who didn’t vote for Andruw voted for Rolen.

Those 36 writers need to be looked at hard. Of course, Philly homer Jayson Stark is among them.

If you’re a small hall guy and didn’t vote for either I can live with that. But voting for Rolen and not Andruw is terribly inconsistent.

Jesus Christ.

Stark should have his vote pulled for life.

He's a HoF'er and Andruw isn't. It's a fricking joke. Andruw should of been in years ago.

Baseball writers are the biggest bunch of pretentious, pencil-necked douchebags that there is. The only way Andruw is getting in is the same way McGriff got in, which he should of been in years ago too.

Analytics has it's place in the game, but it and the writers are absolutely killing the greatest HoF in sports. And just to prove my point that baseball writers are fricking morons:

Rolen.

frick all these guys. And frick anyone who thinks Scott Rolen should of got in before Andruw.

I'm fricking pissed.

Mike Bass of Cincinnati
Ryan Fagan of St. Louis
Marcus Hayes of Philly
Scott Lauber of Philly
Marc Narducci of Philly
Jayson Stark of Philly

all voted for Rolen while not voting for Jones
all from Rolen’s teams’ cities.

Find these guys on social media. Be nice. Let them know they’re being inconsistent.

I have a Twitter account but never use it.

This would be a good time to do so.

They'll use the "character clause" bullshite as their excuse. Give sportswriters a chance to virtue signal and they'll be on it like flies on shite.

A poster in the HoF thread did bring up a good point about Druw's domestic assault on his wife on Christmas about a decade ago after drinking at a party. I had totally forgot about that but his point was the writers were still holding that over his head.

More reasons the BBWAA can GGF.

Andruw should have been in a long time ago (along with Murph), but this is a weird complaint. Analytics is pretty much the reason Andruw should be a shoo-in for the Hall. Just based on counting stats he's hall of very good rather than HOF.

It's his defensive analytics that makes him a should be sure fire hall of famer.

I don’t think they’re thinking of that. Half the writers that didn’t vote for him probably don’t even know who he is. Some of these people don’t even cover baseball. The rest are caught up trying to appease their readers and bosses. Some of these guys want to frick up their vote so they can squeeze a few articles out of it.

If they knew who Scott Rolen is, they know who Andruw is.

Yeah you’re right. I’m just all up in my feels about voters voting for Rolen and not Jones. I knew Jones wouldn’t get in this year anyway. It’s the amount that voted for Rolen while at the same time not voting for Jones. It doesn’t make any sense.

These are baseball writers we're talking about. That is absolutely the reason he hasn't been elected yet.

Acuna announced he has retired from the Venezuelan winter league effectively immediately. His family had beer thrown at them and were harassed after the HR. So Acuna isn't spending anymore energy on that league.

I wish he would celebrate like that after every home run he hits, but all it would do is give some "fans" even more ammo along with the "too many chains" the second he makes an error in RF.

Baseball should be fun, let him and everyone have fun.
