This is what bugs me about it.
We literally had it set up where Contreras could DH with the Pina insurance... and we just let that go.
Murphy is a really good catcher, I can't stress that enough, but catcher was not going to be a problem for us for like another 2 or 3 years.

Well I certainly don’t understand this trade
We had the ability to DH Contreras / Darnaud by carrying 3 catchers and don’t have that now.
Only potential positive it does (other than Murphy being good) is open up spots on the 40 man roster for a free agent signing? But interesting way to open up a spot
