The way the first inning went and the Yankees getting him to 29 pitches I had hopes they would get him out by the 5th. The the Yankees started swinging at everything and helping him out like they did in Game 2, and Game 3, and Game 4.... The aggressive approach is fine when making contact but sucks when you swinging and things 6 inches off the plate and popping it up

Chirinos going yawd next inning. That put some fire in him

Still more productive than Yordan.
Against the Yankees he is struggling, but still less strikeouts than Sanchez with a higher OBP, I would take that

Said it last night... you save Verlander and Cole for 6 and 7. If there was a throwaway game, this was it.

You go with the best you have when you have a chance to close it out

I don’t think he’s had that bad of a postseason so far. In fact, in hindsight, you could argue that tucker and marisnick have taken at bats away from him that might have resulted in more production than what we got from either of them. He’s certainly done more than yuli and Alvarez.

Got lucky on that check swing

Seriously....the pitching has been good all around but the hitting has been shittastic as well on both sides..and umps need a stint in the minors.

So throw Cole game 6 and bullpen for game 7?
Posted on 10/18/19 at 8:44 pm to americanlsufan
I wouldn’t throw Cole on 3 days rest.
You match bullpen with Bullpen

Yankees if they go bullpen they have Severino for game 7, if they go bullpen either Cessa/Loisaga starts with Happ coming in after

Why are you talking about a Game 6 that isn't gonna happen?

Reddick with a decent play on a ball off the bat I thought was out

6 great innings.
1 gigantic turd.
We're gonna be done in by the turd.
thanks offense. Maybe we can get that RISP number below .100 before this series is over.

When you have your 2 aces for 1 game each, you throw them back to back ASAP to close it out, because your opponent has to do the same to stay in it
