what? That doesn't mean shite. You aware how hitting works right and if you have a week off what that can do? Look at the Rockies in 07

That Hicks AB was one of the worse jobs you’ll ever see. Verlander started 0-2 and was on the verge of getting 2 outs with the chance of exiting the inning with minimum damage. JV threw 3 balls that weren’t anywhere close. All he had to do was throw a below average pitch out of the zone and Hicks was chasing. He misses badly 3 straight then throws the textbook home run pitch. Slider with not tilt/break, just spinning right down the upper part of the zone center cut. I mean he couldn’t have done it any worse if he walked down there and placed the ball in the mitt after starting 0-2. It’s just one AB but that’s a really bad effort from a veteran future HoFer

I’m just making the point that it’s gonna be a tall order to beat the Nats with their entire staff having a week to rest

Yordan Alvarez has got to start swinging at pitch 1 more often. He cannot keep taking fastballs over the heart of the plate.

Good AB from Alvarez, relatively speaking. No GIDP and made him throw 5 or 6 pitches. That's all you can ask for from him at this point.

Anyone know if the Astros hit a 2 run homer this inning yet?

Yordan just isn’t the same guy. Nobody’s pitching him any tougher than they did in July or August. He just isn’t that guy anymore.
