Assuming the ACC, SEC, and Big 12 play- does Notre Dame stand the most to gain?

The only Midwest power playing football next season should be quite the recruiting tool over Ohio State, Michigan, and Penn State. Agree or disagree?

I think it could give Kentucky and Louisville a big boost in recruiting as well in the short term

Iowa State playing and Iowa not, could really benefit the cyclones. Especially with Campbell at the helm.

no one is playing, and the NFL will cancel as well

they cannot stomach the lawsuit liability, its that simple

It's all about liability. Now that the BIG and PAC have cancelled what is the liability if an SEC player dies or has long term effects from COVID related issues this fall? All a lawyer would have to say is "two other conferences cancelled yet you played, why? You should have known better.". The BIG and PAC have changed the level of the bar for "reasonableness" in any future lawsuit related to this matter. For that reason the others will cancel too. Their liability exposure has just gone up.

And then the sec will point to the players in the big 10 and pac 12 that still got sick and infected....

The SEC knows that, and it’s their trump card

The likely truth is more players from the big 10 and pac 12 get infected now, opening themselves up to lawsuits by cancelling......

Yes causation would be impossible

At least in a rational world

Causation and assumption of the risk/comparative fault are going to be huge hurdles to clear in any covid law suit.

See, I don’t like that everybody is kinda in the position of hoping for some kid at a school with the opposite position to actually die from it.
