Sources indicate to WildcatAuthority that there will be significant discussions between the Big 12 and Pac-12 this week. It would include four Pac-12 members joining the Big 12.

FOX may have played this perfectly.
USC, UCLA, Stanford, Oregon, Washington into FOX’s B1G
Arizona, Arizona State, Utah, Colorado into FOX’s Big XII
The rest into FOX’s Mountain West
They may get all the PAC 12 teams while paying for one less conference.

Where's Cal in all of this? Just giving up?

Protesting something.

I think Cal ends up in the MWC.

I think it’s so obvious now Fox and ABC are the power brokers really pushing this. Short term profits but a destabilized product that will likely implode in the next 10 years.

I see it as
Disney Conferences A = SEC
Disney Conference B = ACC
Disney Conference C = American
FOX Conference A = B1G
FOX Conference B = Big XII (they’re not under contract, but I doubt they go with ESPN after last summer)
FOX Conference C = Mountain West

We’ll see what happens, but if you’re FOX, do you not offer up more money to the B1G for big time coast-to-coast games every Saturday?

Their school willingly gave up a championship rugby team. What do you think those fruitcakes will do?

The wording of that seems odd. If the Big 12 is taking 4 members of the Pac-12, that doesn't sound like discussions between the 2 conferences. More like one conference gutting the other.

They should do it

And yet here you are posting on a college teams message board.

Big East is going to have to make a major move now.

University of California fielded its first American Football team in 1886.
In 1899, Cal played a home against Carlisle Indian Industrial School against future legend Pop Warner and home of Jim Thorpe.
The 1916 original PAC was Cal, Washington, Oregon and Oregon State.
From 1920 to 1925 Cal won 50 games without defeat and 4 National Titles.
Its been all downhill since then.
But they will always have "The Play" I guess.

When those pussies did everything possible not to play football in 2020, the writing was on the wall.

Would be kind of funny to see Colorado crawling back to the Big 12.

Watching something you used to love implode in real time is worth discussing.
