That's my point to hangover Newman has 2. Heck Chalmette equals the Catholic league NFL production. If only Norris Weese would have been 2 years younger
Newman has two, probably three now, because of their last name... You don't think if they played at any other schools, things would be any different? Hell, they might've gotten a state championship ring. Not like Newman is a football powerhouse.
Kid from Rummel was just named the #4 player in the NFL... Though recruited, he was basically a nobody before he got to Rummel... He didn't start till his Jr year.

Great players develop and get found where ever they are. I am certain had the Manning tribe wanted him at any school ANY school would have gladly taken all 4. He'd be right where he is if he went to ANY catholic league school, Catholic high or including Karr.
and that #4 player would have been great no matter where he played HS.
The Jefferson Parish District has the same number of NFL QBs as catholic league (albeit with way more starts).

Peyton, Eli, Odell, etc, etc went there. LSU’s backup running back played qb in high school. In the playoffs he played Arch and he had something like 250 more passing yards than Arch did in that game. Arch may develop into a great qb, I think he probably will end up being solid, but the hype he’s gotten without proving anything, to this point, is crazy.

So he played flag football. Got it.
#70 of the opposing team could have had his 40 timed with a sundial. I'll go out on a limb and say that kid didn't play any organized football after graduating high school.

Folks want to remember Peyton and Eli as greats in college. I have trouble remembering but they were good but not great I don’t think. I mean Peyton never did beat Florida. Imagine today if that were to happen. He would get wore out about never beating Florida

It’s Fisher, he’s probably on a boat somewhere

He did catch hell for never beating Florida. Also Florida was a top team in that era, and UT was trying to get over the hump.

Didn't Peyton finish 2nd in the Heisman voting and go at the top of thw NFL draft? I would say he was great in college. Eli maybe wasn't great but was very good and almost led Ole Miss to the SEC championship game his Sr year.
