I didn’t say he was bad.. just unproven compared to other qbs coming back. We will see Labor Day weekend if he can lead his team against a top notch team on the road. If this guy is hyped as the favorite he can’t have an off game no matter who it’s against.

Ron Powlus and Jimmy Clausen were both supposed to win the Heisman 4 times.

Has there ever been a player with fewer starts who was the favorite to win the Heisman??? Arch might be good…. But no one has any idea. Let alone for betting sites to have him as the odds on favorite with some guys behind him with 3-4 years of experience.

The basis for all that is an expectation of how Heisman voters will vote. It is not based on reasonable expectations of what Arch will do to earn it.

Ewers playing the entire second half of the season injured and the red zone offense being inept

So the question is why did Sark think that an injured Ewers was a better option that Manning?

The Legend of Beano!

He said Powlus would win AT LEAST. TWO Heismans and be the best Quarterback in Notre Dame history (Joe Montana, Joe Theismann, Paul Hornung - Heisman, Daryle Lamonica', Johnny Lujack - Heisman, John Huarte - Heisman, Brady Quinn, Tony Rice, Steve Beuerlein, Rick Mirer.)

Well, the public took 2 and made it 3...and now 4...Powlus had a really good 4 year career at ND but he was expected to win the Heisman and the National Championship or multiple.

Loyalty...It was Quinn's team. Sark was an all-american level QB himself, he was never going to quit on Ewers, for better or worse

Why did Urban stick with Chris Leach in 2006?

Because Leach was much better at that point. Just like Quinn is better than Arch was last year. I’m in a wait and see mode on Arch…
